Our Staff

Erica Korer – Front Office Coordinator
Erica became a member of Express Employment Professionals’ downtown team in March of 2008. She brings over two years of inside sales experience to the company, having worked for a publisher of healthcare textbooks prior to her move to Portland.

Erica graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in English Literature. Though originally from the Midwest, she has worked and studied in Boston, China, and the UK.
 
As a regular area volunteer, Erica is enthusiastic about her venture into the staffing industry as a new way to connect with the downtown Portland community.
 
Liz Brentnall – Staffing Consultant Office Services
Liz joined Express Employment Professionals in September of 2007, and after testing the waters at other Express offices, found a home at the downtown franchise in October. 
 
She came to Express Employment Professionals from Roseville, California where she was working at an internet startup as an Account Manager and Public Relations Representative.  Following a hectic year and the closure of the company, Liz gladly made the move up to Portland to be closer to her family. 
 
Liz earned her BA in Global Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005 and spent the following year in Paris attending the Sorbonne.  She is fluent in French, and travel and culture are her passions. 
 
Liz is excited to be a part of the Express Employment Professionals - Express Financial Staffing team and is looking forward to working with our clients, associates and community partners!
 
Cheryl Oswald – Professional Recruiter Accounting & Finance
Cheryl brings to Express Financial Staffing more than seven years of experience in human resources, and 15 years of customer service and management. She joined the Stoller Group in June of 2004, and is responsible for staffing accounting and finance candidates to meet the needs of growing companies.
 
She has experience guiding candidates through periods of growth, and a unique understanding of the needs of organizations.
 
Prior to Express Financial Staffing, Cheryl served as Human Resource Coordinator for the Haggen Food & Pharmacy Oregon District. While there, Cheryl was responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and orientating Haggen’s management and associate teams for existing and new store openings.
 
Her strong Recruiting and customer service background also includes Nordstrom. From 1985 to 1997 as the Nordstrom Estee Lauder Account Coordinator, Cheryl played a key role in recruiting, hiring, coaching and training counter sales associates.
 
Abigail Collins – Business Developer
Although a newcomer to Express Employment Professionals and the staffing industry, Abby comes as a 14-year veteran journalist. She spent most of her career at newspapers up and down the West Coast, but also reported from overseas. She has traveled to more than 50 countries and lived on four continents. Her last post was nearly a 5-year stint in South Africa where she trained local journalists on how to cover a democratic election, served as an official international observer to the country’s second election in history and helped run a youth program for disadvantaged youths from townships in and around Cape Town’s metropolitan area.
 
She returned to her roots in Oregon eventually settling down into family life. Upon welcoming motherhood, she transitioned into sales, marketing and customer service training with companies such as The Body Shop, an internationally recognized personal care products company and Maddox Smye, a consulting firm serving Fortune 500 companies. This put her on a fortuitous and exciting path leading to Express Employment Professionals and Financial Staffing as its business developer.
 
Abigail is a graduate of Mt. Hood Community College and University of Oregon’s School of Journalism. She also attended the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Affairs Training Center just outside Washington DC and University of Cape Town’s masters program in political studies and international relations as Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.
 
Her passion is both as learner and educator while inspiring others toward their own personal growth.
